Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) – Chemical Engineering

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Goa Campus

What are you doing now?

Working as a Process Integration Engineer in Micron Technology at its Virginia Fab.

How did the Nano-MSE program help you advance your professional or academic goals?

Nano-MSE program helped me switch seamlessly from my well-established undergrad field (ChemEng) to the relatively new Nanotech, thanks to its extensive curriculum with multiple starting points to get into this multifaceted subject. In addition, the academic flexibility aided me in choosing a well-rounded set of courses spanning Quantum Mechanics, Renewable energy, Programming, to (finally) Device Physics, which paved my way for a career in Semiconductors.

 What do/did you enjoy most about the Nano-MSE program and/or being at University of Pennsylvania

Happy Hours in The Hall of Flags, Dining at 1920 Commons, Penn Symphony performances at Irvine Auditorium, Front desk job at Penn Housing, Solving assignments in Van Pelt, in short, BEING at U.Penn.

Do you have advice for people considering the Nano-MSE program at Penn?

Please do not hesitate to learn things you feel genuinely curious about even if they do not seem immediately lucrative career-wise. You never know what opportunities await you.
